Best Onionplay Alternatives in 2021

Onionplay was an online streaming service that made it easy to watch your favorite movies and TV shows on any screen of your choosing, including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBO Go. It did this with its extensive library of shows and movies, all of which were available to watch immediately, without the long waits associated with other streaming services.

The Onionplay platform supported everything from Windows PCs to Sony PlayStation 4s, so you could enjoy your favorite programming on any device that you owned. Unfortunately, the company went out of business in 2017, but there are still some great onionplay alternatives available today.

1) What is Oniooplay?

Oniooplay, sometimes written as OnioPlay or Oni Play is a live video platform that allows users to view programming ranging from news broadcasts to user-submitted content. It has become one of America’s most popular streaming services due to its combination of high quality content and an affordable price point.

Users can choose between two subscription packages: Starter costs $6 per month and comes with access to all of Oniooplay’s current & library programming, while Premium costs $18 per month but includes more exclusive content including some soon-to-be-released movies.

Users can stream shows on their computer or watch them on mobile devices using an app available for Android & iOS devices. Since there are no contracts, subscribers are free to cancel at any time without penalty.

2) Alternative 1 – FilmsOn

FilmsOn’s distinctive feature is that it allows you to record both your computer screen and your webcam at once. This means you can capture footage of your face while watching your favorite TV shows or streaming movies, offering a more lifelike viewing experience. You can also save the video with higher-quality audio by uploading it to FilmsOn’s private cloud server.

While there isn’t an official desktop application for Mac or Linux users, our testing team was able to record and upload files using Firefox and Chrome on both platforms without too much hassle. There’s also a web app for iOS and Android devices that lets you access all of FilmsOn’s features from any smartphone or tablet running either operating system.

3) Alternative 2 – Terrarium TV

Terrarium TV offers a free ad-supported service with a wide variety of shows and movies. It requires sideloading, which can be a nuisance for some, but it does offer a robust library that’s easy to navigate. Terrarium TV is currently not working properly on Firestick devices or Android TV boxes because of content licensing agreements.

However, it has been confirmed by their development team that they are currently working on an app for Android TV so you can use their services from your television instead of just from your phone or tablet. This is expected to come out later in 2019 so there’s no specific release date yet.

4) Alternative 3 – iVue

iVue is a unique, anime-inspired streaming platform that offers a variety of animated shows and movies. It’s a great option for those looking for something different from what’s currently available elsewhere. With around 20,000 titles to choose from at any given time, there is no shortage of options to binge on iVue.

The app works well on Android and iOS devices and has minimal ads. This means it allows you to enjoy your favorite shows without interruption or spoilers if you’re trying to watch ahead of everyone else. The main draw, though, is definitely the quality: iVue streams HD video and sound at speeds rivaling its competitors’ 4K offerings.

5) Alternative 4 – Hades Streams

Hades Streams is a long-running, frequently updated stream aggregator. While not everything is available for free, Hades Streams has one of the largest libraries of live-streaming content out there. It also comes with an active community built around it.

If you’re looking for something smaller or have no desire to deal with yet another site, Hades is a good alternative to check out. The interface and design might be outdated but if you can get past that, there are some great quality videos and channels to discover and enjoy!
